Best Blog Tips for 2013

BloggingThere are already so many bloggers around the world and there's a rising competitions between blogs and websites. Blogging has become the platform for those who are trying to earn online, and many have already suceeded. There are also other ways to earn online like PTC's, where you are paid to click on others' advertisements. There is also what we call online jobs, like oDesk, where you can earn money online by accomplishing jobs for others. Examples are typing documents, article writing and many more. But still, the no. 1 way to earn money online is through blogging, especially when you are into affiliate marketing.

As the number of blogs around the world rises, new bloggers should be able to know what the do's and don't's are. Of course everything undergoes change and so we should also be changing. Here are the best blog tips I can give you:

  1. Create an Epic Content - Many newbies tend to rush in posting blog articles because they think only about earning money. Let me tell you this. You can never earn money unless you give something with value to others. Therefore creating mediocre articles is just a waste of time. You may be posting thousands of articles, but you'll surely get less traffic and visitors. When you create an article, make it epic. As if it is something everyone should read and it deserves to be shared to others. First impression to readers is very important. If you succeed in impressing your readers at first sight, you'll reap the rewards later.
  2. Give your blogs value - Like I said earlier, money comes after service. Ask these questions before creating a blog: Does my blog deserves to be popular? Is there something in my blog I can be proud of to share with others?
  3. Use other People's Names - Yes. You heard it. Mentioning people who already succeeded in a certain topic is a good method and it's really effective. By mentioning other people's legacy, you gain the trust of the readers. If you ran out of words to say, you can quote other people in your article. It adds more value to your article.
  4. Visualize your blog - Studies shows that a blog with more pictures or is more artistic attracts more readers and other bloggers. Never underestimate the power of colors in your life. Choosing colors as your theme in your blog should be properly decided. Failing to do so will make your blog either unattractive or just unappealing to the readers.
  5. What to Promote? - Some ways to earn online is joining affiliate programs, where you get paid with a certain commission when someone buys the product through your promotion. Now most of people who goes into affiliate marketing fails to earn online. Why? They just simply promote products without thinking. The best way to earn is to promote products that only interests you! Passion will be the driving force in creating a very powerful blog.
  6. Meta Tags? Not Anymore - A few years ago, Google announced they are not using meta keywords anymore. It's because most of the website creators abused the power of meta keywords. Just a few months ago (September, 2012) Google announced that the keywords are back, however it only applies to news articles. (Meta Name="news_keywords") Now what you can do is to place your efforts on your content, because that's the critical part in blogging.
  7. Use Social Media Plugins - It is easier to share your blog nowadays using social media buttons for facebook, twitter, Pinterest, etc. Take advantage of the growing social media sites in your blog.
Like I said, everything changes, so you still need to observe what really works and use them so you can blog effectively. There's no get-rich-quick scheme. You can use those blog tips above but make sure you do it with passion. Where you are passionate, you can succeed!
